RMIA 2: Cameroon Army Reviews Troops’ Operational Readiness.
The Commander of the Cameroon Army, Major General Saly Mohamadou, carried out an inspection mission from July 13 to 15, 2026, within the Second Joint Military Region (RMIA 2), covering military formations in the South-West Region.
The visit aimed to assess the operational readiness of personnel, the condition of military equipment, and the working, training, and living conditions of soldiers. During meetings with military commanders, the Army Chief emphasized discipline, professionalism, resilience, and strict compliance with directives from the high command.
In Buea, he chaired a security review meeting with commanders of the 21st Motorized Infantry Brigade before inspecting various units. The mission concluded with a visit to the 21st Engineering Regiment, where recommendations were made to further strengthen the operational capacity and effectiveness of troops in the region.
